On-Waves provides GSM & CDMA services on board 6 new cruise and ferry vessels.
On-Waves Ehf has been awarded contracts by 4 dominant cruise and ferry companies: Star Clippers, Thomson Cruises, Brittany Ferries and Naviera Armas.
On-Waves provides roaming services for GSM/CDMA phones for inbound and outbound calls, SMS text messaging, Wi-Fi and Data connectivity for both passengers and crew members.
In addition, On-Waves offers tailor-made crew prepaid calling solution on board all cruise vessels served through the On-Waves network.
The On-Waves prepaid mobile is a very affordable and user-friendly service. To get started, crew purchase an On-Waves SIM card and insert it in their mobile phones. Then, they can refill their account by choosing one of the three On-Waves electronic Top-Ups. Thanks to its advanced Pre-Paid Platform, On-Waves provides SIM cards that use local numbers from several key markets. Filipino numbers are offered along with US, European, Indian and Icelandic numbers. Friends and family can now call or SMS crew at sea by dialling a lower-cost local phone number.
On-Waves has already launched its prepaid phone cards on board Celebrity Eclipse, Windstar Cruises vessels, Zenith (Pullmantur) and is currently deploying the service on board 20 other cruise vessels and 400 commercial shipping and offshore vessels.
Star Clippers
The fleet wide contract recently signed with Star Clippers covers their 3 tall ship sailing vessels: Royal Clipper, the largest full-rigged five-masted sailing ship in the world, Star Clipper and Star Flyer, two modern and luxurious sailing ships each carrying 170 guest and 72 crew members in pampered comfort.
Thomson Cruises
After having launched On-Waves maritime mobile services on board Thomson Dream in summer 2010, Thomson Cruises offered a second vessel to On-Waves: Thomson Celebration with 1254 passengers capacity and 520 crew capacity.

Brittany Ferries
On-Waves has been working with Brittany Ferries for 5 years and already offers its services to 8 ferry ships operating from UK to France and UK to Spain. On-Waves has been recently tasked with one new installation the “Cotentin”, Brittany Ferries' freight-only vessel. The freighter provides space for 120 articulated vehicles year-round in 2200 lane metres.
Naviera Armas
On-Waves has also earned the trust of Naviera Armas. After the Volcan de Tijarafe, a new agreement has been signed between the two company to cover the 178 meters Volcan del Tinamar ferry, the twin brother of Volcan del Teide (1.500 passengers, 350 cars and 80 pieces of cargo.)
